Autumn Brown is artist, metalsmith and educator from Augusta, Georgia currently living and working in Penland, NC. She holds her BFA in Metalsmithing from the University of Georgia (’06) and her MFA in Metal Design from East Carolina University (’10). Autumn’s work ranges from wearable to sculptural and uses both precious and non-precious materials. In her jewelry work, she enjoys using traditional metals processes against the surface of porcelain to explore form and surface. Prior to her role as Iron Studio Coordinator for the Penland School of Craft Autumn was a dedicated metals educator at Interlochen Center for the Arts (’10-’16), Pitt Community College (’10-‘14), and Western Michigan University’s Frostic School of Art (’14-’22).
